From 1997 to 2006 Serge GIRARD ran across five continents: North America, Australia, South America, Africa, Europe and Asia and set four world records.

This time he will try to set a world record for the longest distance covered in 365 days. The current record is held by Tirtha Kumar Phani (India) 22,581.09 km in 365 days.

Serge will try to set a record by running 600 marathons, 25,300 km, around the European Union in 365 days. Departure in Paris on October 17, 2009. Arrival in Paris October 17, 2010.
