Bright sunshine when we awakened announced a good day.<\/p>\n

We are getting used to going to  restaurants in order to work comfortably on our computers: 1 for Claire, 1 for Mathieu and 1 for Laure.  It’s quite a spread of equipment.  We eat our evening meal there as well as breakfast the next morning.  Normally, these roadside restaurants can provide a room, that is to say four walls of cement or which have been white washed, with one or two carpets on the ground.  It serves as a dormitory.  Like their predecessors, Jean-Marc and Benjamin are in charge of ensuring breakfast is ready at 6H45.  It means being ready at 6H30 to organize everything.  Laure and Serge sleep in the camper, a comfort which is unbeatable, especially for Serge who is able to have a hot shower every day (it’s not the case for the team) and most of all a sit down toilet.<\/p>\n

Serge didn’t complain about anything and seemed to be running easily.  At the end of the morning he asked for his MP3 player.  It’s not his habit because the last time he listened to music was in France.  So there was Serge charged by wild music: he likes rhythm.  At feeding he had everyone listen to the piece to know who was singing and he took Laure’s hand for a few dance steps.  What litheness!  No, just kidding.  Unfortunately, Serge is stiff as a post.  It was a moment of pure relaxation, even if it only lasted for 2-3 minutes: it was great to see Serge so relaxed.<\/p>\n

We arrived at Rivand, a rural village 30 kilometers from Sabzevar.  Today is the anniversary of the death of the prophet Muhammad and in the afternoon the village was deserted.  Everyone participated in the ceremony.  The village with it’s trees and rice fields resembled an oasis.<\/p>\n

This evening when Serge arrived in the village about 50 people gathered around the camper.  The head of the town council, dressed in black for this day of mourning, was there to welcome Serge.  Everyone applauded Serge, who in spite of his fatigue always manages to smile and exchange a few words: thanks to Madgid for the translation.<\/p>\n
