Another day that brings us closer to Turkey, because tomorrow morning we will cross the border at Ispala.<\/p>\n

The sunshine has returned: no wind and 20\u00b0C in the mid afternoon sun.  Serge feels like he has wings.  About ten kilometers after Sapes, we took a road to Mesti and reached a village that turned out to be a cul de sac.  Taking this wrong turn was dangerous for the camper, which skidded on the icy snow.  We turned around as quickly as possible to get back on the main road to Alexandropouli.<\/p>\n

At kilometer 30 we reached the sea at Dikela and for 4 km took a small road bordered by olive trees with lots of birds.  Once through Alexandropouli we left the seaside.<\/p>\n

Serge is in fine form.  He is sorry about the mix up at Mesti, which caused him to lose time on his average per hour, but happy to once again have beautiful weather and no wind to fight.<\/p>\n

As you can see from the photos, the soles of Serge’s feet are like those of a new born baby, which always astonished chiropodists.  He hasn’t had a single blister since he started the race, just a few black toe nails.<\/p>\n

An aside to tell you that we receive several dozen messages every day and it’s a real treat, especially since the words that appears most frequently are: dream and the verb to dream.  Once again, please excuse us for not being able to answer them all.
