The night was  cold and waking up is hard for everybody. We\u2019re freezing. Frost, then hoar  frost makes the whole camp wet. Serge painfully gets up with a headache which  will only go around midday.<o:p>  <\/o:p>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"mso-bidi-font-size:  10.0pt;mso-ansi-language:EN-GB\">The stage today: col at an altitude of 4300m,  then down to Andahuaylas (2900), then up again to the little village of  Champacoha (3200m) where we\u2019ll sleep tonight.<o:p>  <\/o:p>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"mso-bidi-font-size:  10.0pt;mso-ansi-language:EN-GB\">When we get to Andahuaylas, Serge wants to stop  because of pain in his right bullock, sciatic due to the running down. But, he  pulls himself together and manages to finish the stage, walking the last  thirteen kilometers.<o:p>  <\/o:p>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"mso-bidi-font-size:  10.0pt;mso-ansi-language:EN-GB\">The day ends in good spirits though, today is  Favio\u2019s birthday, our Brazilian driver in charge of the camp.
