Daniel’s and René’s thoughts today:

More beautiful homes.  Ireland is in 3rd place with Holland and Belgium (says Daniel).  We are surprised how easily we have adapted to driving on the left, on the small country roads and in the cities.  The Irish are very friendly and stop to ask us if everything is OK or if we need help, since the van is often parked at the side of the road with its emergency lights blinking.
We saw swimmers today at the beach near Dublin.  Even if the water is not very warm, the natives are not put off.  The air temperature is low; this morning it was 10°C in the van and there was a strong wind.
Serge started slowly and has trouble putting one foot in front of the other, « our boss ».  He is not feeling well this morning and there is a head wind so he asks if we will continue in this direction.  We reassure him that we will be turning south in the direction of Drogedha.  We are again on narrow  and hilly roads.  Around 10:30 or 11:00 a.m. Serge is not the same; he seems to have found a bit of pep.  He lifts his feet! His pace is smooth.  At km40, I (René) make a mistake with his drink (Coke instead of Red Bull)!  We find him and the road and go past.  All goes well.  Back along the beach, the salt air seems to give him some pep and we take a few photos.  There are some pretty women jogging ( says Daniel).  If Serge doesn’t see them, he will have to start wearing his glasses when he runs.  The 10 last kilometers, as we enter Dublin, are difficult because of the +++ head wind.  Serge struggles against it and does not give in.  He is exhausted when he arrives.
We enter Dublin via the harbor and we don’t feel like we are entering a capital city.  There are no signs, no big buildings or any indication that it is the capital.  In only 3 km you go from the seaside to the city center…
Another beautiful and great day and tomorrow will be the same!
