After clocking 7,000km yesterday, we left the Languedoc-Roussillon region, its road through Cathare Country and its Canal du Midi. At Tarascon we entered the region of Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur r. Mediterranean pines line the roads in Provence and villages blend with the stone.
David accompanies Serge for the entire stage and he reaches Aix tired but happy. Jean-Louis from Marignane and Stéphane from Le Tholonet also accompanied today’s two runners. At Eguilles, a motivated group is waiting for Serge: our partners from UFF and CJD and also the deputy for sport for the city of Aix, who runs a few kilometers. The AUC (Aix University Club) is involved in the organization of the finish and has mobilized a large number of children and opened its facilities. This association groups 16 different sports and has 3,500 members. In this context, sport is king.
The atmosphere is young and festive for today’s finish.
