“Bienvenue au Sénégal” (Welcome to Senegal !). Yesterday morning, Serge and his team met together in Hotel Calao, 15 kilometres from Dakar. Serge, Laure, Stephan and Ludo arrived from Paris after a few hours flight while Remy and Jean-Benoit took much more time, travelling with the two vehicles on a cargo boat from Le Havre.Nine days by ship and just as many hours by plane but the fastest is not always the one you should believe and bad luck for the sky travellers who have now to wait for their luggage which took a wrong flight to Teheran !…But Serge, his team and vehicles are now in the starting blocks on western coast of Africa. Start is still scheduled to October 1st or as soon as his 25 pairs of running shoes will be released by Iranian customs. A few hours after landing and finding a pair of right size shoes, Serge was running a short 45 minutes jogging in local hot and wet conditions.’
