Serge hasn’t even done 500m when he fell down. His legs feel like cotton –wool. He has to lie down. We worry about him. He does look in a bad state. Time goes by very slowly but he seems to recover. He sits for a bit before setting off again, but walking this time.
Friday, November 5th 52.8 miles / 85km
After a good start this morning Serge seems to slow down, he allows himself a little rest, the time to drink some hot tea just offered to him. He is drenched to the skin but this seems to boost him.
Sunday, November 7th 52.8 miles / 85km Lithgow
Even if the sky is still grey, it has stopped raining. We are at the bottom of the Australian Blue Mountains. Serge is either climbing or going down slopes. All the members of the crew are busy preparing the arrival in Sydney. We have already started to empty the vehicles and sort out the equipment.
As for Serge, he is answering the journalists’ questions.
Monday, November 8th 52.8 miles / 85km Windsor
In May, we had changed the initial route for this one which still doesn’t satisfy us but the roads which link the Blue Mountains to Sydney are all the same, narrow and dangerous
