Good evening everyone,
After a good night at the mill of Caussac where there is no network, hence no phone, so our website update was made thanks to the use of the Le Cointe’s connection, we are back on the road. Antoine, a young boy from the village learned of Serge’s presence from our hosts and came to run the first kilometers of the day with Serge. He was not put off by the early start, even if it is vacation time. He will start the cross country season in two weeks.
We left the Morbihan at the village of Ménéac and Serge found himself alone on the road. He who is normally a solitary runner is beginning to enjoy company. More than just the boost it gives, it helps pass the time. David joined him after Collinée, then Laurent and 2 surprise visitors: Jean-Marie and Daniel from Beuzeville la Grenier members of the CCPB (mark your calendars, the CCPB will organize a trail over 2 distances: 42 and 80 km, on December 4th for the Telethon. For information: dalevasseur@wanadoo.fr).
Serge gave 2 interviews today: one at Merdrignac to a charming correspondent of Polish origin with Ouest France Morbihan and the second just before Moncontour to Résonnance, a local, independent station from our Caux region.
The sun peaked out at the beginning of the afternoon and the temperature was 23°C. Our arrival at St. Brieuc and then Plérin was easy compared to the positive ascent. René ran the end of the stage with Serge. The two of them went to Port de Legué before climbing the Côte des Violettes where they were to meet the entire CJD team who had mobilized big and small to run 5 km on the paths of Plérin to the Multimedia library where the mayor was waiting for the valiant. Thanks go to Erwan and his team who organized an arrival that was as congenial as it was sunny.
