D6 – 82.5Km
One of Serge’s main problem from start is to sleep well and enough because it seems his body is trying to throw back the heat he stores up all day long. Here, even some of the local population are sleeping outside of home as we can see it when crossing villages during the last hours of the night.Today we will leave Kaolack province, entering the province of Tambacounda. It could look like paradise names, but feels like hell when you have to run 10 hours a day. Earlier and earlier each day,, Serge begins his run at 3.35 which means he will run a half stage outside of burning sun. First 50 K where ok and then Serge had to slow down. He normally never stops, only going on walking when eating. But today he had to stop for a few minutes in the shade, then he also felt the first symptoms of shin split on his right leg during his last hours (a usual injury for ultrarunners). This central area of Senegal is now more humid and green and we all hope the clouds arriving on the camp this evening will bring some rain and a little bit of fresh air…
