76.2 km – 10H08′
Serge went around Jizzax and headed due east in the direction of Bekabad (the border with Tajikistan). Jizzax is the birthplace of President Rachidov, who governed the Soviet Republic of Uzbekistan until 1983. He is responsible for the many soviet style buildings in Tashkent.
Serge seems to have found a better rhythm and the day finished about 30 minutes sooner than usual. It was good for the morale and it gave us the time for a good massage.
Jean-Marc even had the time to do some laundry.
Serge has a toe which has been hurting for several days but the body keeps going in spite of fatigue. Joking, Serge even hinted at the possibility of taking a 2 to 3 day break…………….
