A short log today.

Today Serge didn’t have a period of slack.  His stride is more even and easy than it has been for some time and it’s good to see him like this.  At last a good day for him!

We have come to the end of another month.  Since April 27th Serge has been in China, in this vast country of such contrast: desert, mountains, greenery, countryside, heat, drought, rain, humidity, color, melancholia, laughter, noise, dust.  You can’t remain indifferent to China.

The lush vegetation is favorable to wildlife, which has enabled us to see some snakes, most often squashed but we have seen some live ones. There are many different birds: white, red and black.  People keep lots of animals, which wander around freely: pigs, goats, hens, ducks and several sorts of buffalos.  In the many ponds we have seen splendid pink and white water lilies.  We haven’t the time to contemplate these things, time flies and catches up with us…Serge has already gone by.
