Today, I would like to thank Lee, who for the past 7 months, has been translating these texts into English on a daily basis, whether she is with her family in the Uited States on a trip that was unexpectedly extended due to the cloud of volcanic ash, or on a weekend in Oslo.  Lee is always there and has been close to us on a daily basis over these past months.  Thanks Lee!

It’s a very pretty road and we are flabbergasted by the 30°C temperatures.   Who would have thought that in Andalousia, in the month of December, we would have such atrocious weather and in May we would experience such heat in Finland.  Here’s hoping it will last but in any case it’s good to spend time at the roadside, except when you find yourself face to face with a viper, which Serge had to leap to one side to miss.  From now on we will be on the lookout.  Parked at a bus stop in front of a house, the owner comes to take a photo of Serge and René loses no time in giving him one of our postcards.  The charming man was able to tell us that he had already looked at the website, of which the address is on our camper.  The Finns are inquisitive but discreet.
This evening we find a “cottage,” or rather a small chalet, on the edge of a lake which is on the property of a farm.  It is plain but clean, with a shower close to the sauna, as is the custom in this country.  The toilet is outside in a corner of the garden and nothing goes into the lake because in Finland you live close to mother nature, so you respect her.  Even the wooden fences are natural, with no nails or screws.  We really appreciate the quiet moment spent in this heavenly place.  Eliane prepared dinner for us and at 8:00 PM Serge went to bed, even though the sun is still warm.

The birds are vocalizing for our great pleasure.
