D2 – 75.5Km
First camp yesterday was a lively evening for Keur Madaro small village’s inhabitants. One of us (not Serge) even played a France-Senegal soccer game with young children. Then each one had to get accustomed with his very new bedroom, inside the air-cooled truck for Serge and Laure, vehicles topside tents for Ludo and Stephan and some good old South-American hammocks for Rémy and JB.As Serge decided to start his run very early, this first night was short. Everybody was up at 4.20 and Serge left one hour later, running a full hour before sunrise. These first hours are the most beautiful and nice to run but as soon as 9 AM begins the daily strong fight against sun until about 5 PM when cool conditions are back. This second day was a difficult one for Serge which chose to stop his day after 10 and half hours and 75 K. Due to his problems foreating, he ran a little less than his daily average, choosing not to take risks. P.S. For contacting TransAfrica by phone, compose 00881631516425 between 6 and 8 PM (GTU time).
