Ravitaillement devant l’église d’Ecos

En haut de la côte Jacques Anquetil à la Neuville-Chant-d’Oisel

D2 – 83.1Km

OINVILLE- SUR-MONCIENT – BONSECOURS
83.1km – 10H44
T° mini 1°C – max 10°C

Departure at 7h10.  It’s pitch black and Serge leaves equipped with his headlight and his fluorescent jacket.  There is a cold drizzle and for once he is wearing long pants to keep from burning up precious calories to warm his body.  This will be a long stage but Serge’s morale is good because he’s heading back to his home in Normandy. You may wonder why since it’s not exactly the shortest road to Germany.  Well, Serge wants to have a look at the sea and more seriously he is happy to be able to share part of his route with local runners.

At 13H15 the sun came out and stayed with Serge until he reached Bonsecours at 17H55, spot on time.  Many thanks to the Mayor and members of the municipality for a very warm reception.  At 19H00 Serge could think only of sleep and resting his legs after a particularly long stage.

PS : Many thanks the many messages that arrive via Internet every day.  They make us feel really good and we read them all, even if we can’t possibly respond to every one.
