PLEASE DO NOT SEND ATTACHMENTS TO YOUR EMAILS.  WE WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO BROAD BAND UNTIL WE ARRIVE.  THANKS.

Instead of a bulletin today, here is a letter which Wilma and Jacques came on motorcycle to bring to Serge on a small road in the Eure et Loire on Christmas Eve.

“Dear Serge, Facing the rising sun, you  are running to achieve your goal.  Your passion for this effort increases tenfold the energy you have which is necessary to discover continents one after the other.  You are now living in this other rich environment, which allows you to meet men and nature with all they hold of beauty and severity.  Alone, facing your challenge you will revive your motivation, stride after stride, landscape after landscape, meeting after meeting and you will know how to change negative perceptions into positive energy.  This is the gift of the great.  This road will not be without suffering and it for that reason that, modestly, with these few words we have come  to bring you our support.  On this holiday eve, we wish you a joyous Christmas.  Run across the world because that is your happiness.”

Thanks to all of you for your numerous messages on the Internet, your instant messages and the voice messages you have left on our mobile phones at Christmas.  Don’t get out of breath, you have to hold on for some months.

Thanks to Estelle and Pierre de Thimory who welcomed me in their home so I could connect to the Internet.  We met in the parking lot of the village while I was waiting for Serge.  How many chance meetings we have had and how warm they have been.

Solterre est 10Km south of Montargis on the N7.
