A full day of constant but not always heavy rain did not dampen Serge’s morale.  He had to change his clothes half way through the day because he was so cold.

On this stage, the road swings from sea level to an altitude of 366 m.  At kilometer 35 (+1m), serge started a 14 km ascent to arrive at the highest point (366 m).  We receive all this data from the GARMIN Forunner 301 watch.  We cannot answer requests to attach it to our daily log because special software is needed to read the files.  The data is scrupulouly saved on our PC each day.

Nicolas and Christophe, the TV team for “7 à 8,” left us at the end of the morning.  René and Eliane put up with the rain without blinking, drying gloves on the car’s ventilation during each feeding.  Their breaking in is long past and the their efficiency in helping Serge is beyond all doubt.  François is temporarily unemployed because rain is enemy number one of a cameraman.  We are wondering if he didn’t bring us the bad weather from France because since Sunday it is gray and rainy. So, until tomorrow and hopefully a better day.
