Once again in good  form, on the road that we called “the road of olive trees.”  These trees, which retain their small leaves in the winter, are everywhere.  They grow in an unruly way as bushes, in the rocks, on hillsides, at the roadside.

A change of scenery took place before Ploce.  We went along low lying land composed of canals, market gardens and citrus trees. At the roadside a multitude of huts had all the local products for sale: oranges, lemons, kiwis, mandarin oranges, figues, brandy, jams, honey……

Serge finished his day as night fell and it’s the first time he didn’t wear his fluorescent security vest.  Most of the time he ran facing the wind which, unfortunately, chilled the air.  He changed shoes for the third time.  He prefers to keep them as long as possible to wear them to the thread.  Each pair of shoes is numbered and we keep track of the number of kilometers run.
