There are moments like this…

This morning, after the euphoria of the 5000km, we were a few lucky ones to celebrate Serge, smiling and enthusiastic.Tiredness makes him go forward. Illogical, isn’t it ? But when you practise the extreme at any cost, everything becomes extreme. Day light has just come up. A thin body in high spirits. For the first time, he has beaten his record of distance covered by far…Presage… Prelude…Forethought…Only 2,5 miles(4km)further, near a "ravit" (supply) the squeal of a seagull. The ocean isn’t far. You know this small blue line that you can see, far away which is called the horizon. He finishes the stage radiant with happiness, however tired he is. A man who will have practised his scales day after day for two months. Happy, yes he is… Nearly shivering, it is even disturbing. From what we can see today we can picture what the two last ones will be like. That’s for sure! Emotion will be there. The emotion of the days gone by, of the present time and of the future; because in every man, a dream lies. Serge has already materialised more than one. One more…Serge Girard or the trilogy of an ocean crossing runner isn’t over. A dream can hide another one.
