Departure at 7H50 in the snow so the beautiful highway has turned into a little winding road.  It was ideal weather for running and Serge kept up a good pace all day.  The stress of yesterday is an old memory.  The road is pleasant, lined with streams and fountains and rarely used by vehicles.  To our joy, the snow plows have done their work and the asphalt is beautifully clean.  However, our vehicles are filthy beyond belief.

Mr. Hayashi and Mr. Nakai of Mizuno France arrived yesterday to meet with Serge.  They are with us in the vehicles and live at our rhythm all day long.  Waiting for Serge, the followers treated themselves to homemade ginger bread from Joël’s wife and some Turkish specialties which Virginie gave us in Istanbul on Sunday.  Watch out diet!

The previous team arrived home safely.  Eliane said that after five weeks spent with us it is difficult to settle into the old routine.  I can believe it.

For Serge and me, the perpetual race continues and the number of the day is:  100 marathons done at kilometer 58.8.

Run Serge, run.
