1000 kilometers clocked every other Saturday.  What regularity!

4000 km in 55 days 3 hours and 7 minutes, which means an average of 72.551 km per day since departure.  Serge has just calculated this average because figures are not my thing.

We have gone along the Sea of Marmara on the national highway N°100.  There are few trucks but lots of busses and cars on this first day of the weekend. In Turkey, even if there is prayer on Friday it is still a work day.  The weekend begins Friday evening, like it does for us.

The day started badly, Serge was in a bad mood and had almost no breakfast.  It was the kind of morning where nothing was right, he was grouchy for any little thing.  When he started, Serge told us “a day that starts badly finishes well,” and it was true.

Christian took care of feedings all day long, accompanied by Fulvio in the 4×4 follower, while the girls went to reconnoiter the arrival in Istanbul, which will take place tomorrow, before rushing back to display the 4000 km sign.

Sunshine and warmth were back and Serge was happy with his 4000 km clocked as he left Silivri, where the team was waiting.  The luminous sign was working well except that facing the light it was difficult to adjust for Fulvio.  But never mind, Serge wore his most beautiful smile.

For figure fanatics, Serge has worked for you:

0 à 1000 km 13 days 3 hours 59 minutes  75.953 km/day

1000 à 2000 km 14 days 1 hour 38 minutes  71.083 km/day

2000 à 3000 km 13 days 21 hours 57 minutes  71.867 km/day

3000 à 4000 km 13 days 23 hours 33 minutes  71.524 km/day
