It was a rather uneventful day.  It’s worth mentioning that Serge seemed to take longer than usual to get ready this morning, as if he apprehended departure and the long hours on the road.  The temperature was 36° Celsius and there was a slight breeze.  We crossed several villages, among which Sanshan at kilometer 18.  The next large city we will reach is Hami, in about 280 kilometers.

Serge thanks all of you who sent messages of support and encouragement the past few days.  He is very serious about reading his mail every day because it gives him the boost he need to reach his goal.  Special thanks go to Linda for her story.

The followers are OK: Laure is tired and a bit listless, Daniel is always in good shape, Ludo is disappointed because Serge doesn’t want to be massaged and Thomas, after a bad patch with his photos has once again found good subject matter. The caravan continues on its way.  Camping becomes routine and this evening we will break the monotony by seeing a funny DVD.  As for Serge, he is getting ready for bed and won’t benefit from our laughter.  At 21H15 it’s time for bed.  Good night.
