Not one single village, not a living soul on this stage. Camp was pitched along highway 312. This evening the camp resembled an ant hill, each going about his various tasks: Daniel emptied the trailer and rearranged cartons and cases, Thomas cleaned the 4-wheel drive and all the food boxes, as well as the refrigerator, Laure cleaned the camper and last but not least Ludovic prepared the meal. It’s an organization which works so smoothly that we even had time for a game of cards: Serge and Thomas beat the socks of the team of therapists.
Everyone has his own technique for washing: Daniel does it the old fashioned way with a basin and washcloth (he shaves every day), Ludovic waits until everyone is in bed to take his one-liter shower (the one we used in Africa), Thomas is a wipe fan. As for Serge, he has a hot shower in the comfort of the camper, it’s the runner’s privilege which nobody questions.
At 20H50 everyone was in bed. Serge went to sleep quickly and had a good night.
