And he is off again

“Your concern and your support during these difficult days have given me a real boost, so it’s with you that I’ll share this record.”

What a strange feeling , this break in the middle of the race, break in the rhythm, break in the climate, in the landscape, the relief and the people.

We seem to need to adapt to these new conditions imposed on us by this humid plain and this oppressive heat.

The good health coming back, the morale shows up again. Today, we’ve passed 2 tolls, 2 police checks and 1 military check which marks the frontier between COCHABAMBA and SANTA CRUZ. Dangerous area very often used by drug dealers. The army quite often use archaic methods to search for the famous white powder.

Serge carries on “marking the miles out”. Tonight we’re 55,9 miles (90 km) away from SANTA CRUZ.
