ON THE ROAD AGAIN.

Here, it’s the beginning of the rain season. It was confirmed last night with a deluge that let us presume that our "National" Serge wouldn’t be able to put his marathon kit on. But we were wrong, a sweat-shirt on to be prepared for the morning freshness, and off he goes again. The eyelids maybe still heavy from a deep sleep, but how refreshing! He admits the afternoon siestas are a godsend he had been waiting for, for the last few days. It can be seen in his race, his physical and his mental. We can see he is at ease with himself. The only black point detected by his chiropodist:his feet hurt a little and give him a little discomfort. It’s probably due to the change of surface, to be back on the asphalt.

A soggy road for a determined stride, that’s how we could sum up the stage of the day.

For the anecdote of the day, or rather yesterday, I ‘d like to share with you my emotion and my happiness to have been able to see felines that roam in the region of the PANTANAL : an Once, strangely enough, I wasn’t struck by fear but overwhelmed with joy. Something else, but not as nice, the mosquitoes are back we thought we had lived the worst with them, in fact we hadn’t. The fight carries on but we’re not giving up. It’s non-stop scratching. Still on the meeting side, but this time healthier, we were invited for the night in a school. Talks with the children and their head, autographs from Serge and even from all the team. The curiosity of the children, the numerous questions asked were heart-warming.

Al though the nights are short and the work sustained, our motivation is still there. We go at Serge’s pace while waiting for the Samba’s.

Hasta luego, thanks again for reading us.
