On the way to COCHABAMBA.
After some enquiries in LA PAZ it’s no longer dangerous for us to go to COCHABAMBA. The situation was different a few months ago, when this area was the scene of confrontations between the army and the villagers who grow coca leaves. Even if there are still tensions, the roads are safe for the foreigners.
Today, we have crossed the village of PATACAMAYA and we set the camp after the village of LAHUACHACA, we’ve seen far off the summit of the volcano Sajama , the highest mountain in Bolivia which reaches 21519.7ft (6542m) at his highest point. Tomorrow Serge will cover his 1243 miles (2000km).
